Have you ever made a business decision that paid off for you in a way you never expected?

This graph prepared by Deloitte shows how some key global economies have fared during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst many of these ‘snapshot’ views need to be taken with a grain of salt, it is incredible to see how well Vietnam has performed during this challenging time.

4 years ago when Gary Blieden and Aidan Wollner made the call to set up the Away Digital and subsequently the Away Digital Teams operations in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, we could have never imaged how much that decision would be paying off for us right now.

Lots of factors went into the decision making process to call Vietnam our home but “global pandemic response” was definitely not on our SWOT analysis.
