JOB DESCRIPTION

• Allocation of payments on customers’ accounts -code and allocate
• Main person to co-ordinate mailbox
• Collate invoices, remittance advices, PODs, Pos required for audit
• Statements/Invoices/Credit Notes Requests
• Liaise customer credit claims/rebates to Customer Service/Accounts
• Short Payment and Unallocated Funds/Custom Print Pre-Payment tracking
• Complete Countrywide report monthly (by 3rd working day each month)
• Set up new customers in Sage and in portal. Co-ordinate paperwork with the sales team and AR Officer
• Assist AR Collections Officer with calling customers for payment and payment questions. Cover this role when AR Officer is on leave
• Assist with coding of AP freight invoices – coding
• Reconcile bank accounts for debtors monthly
• Daily or as required provide copies of invoices for Assistant Accountant to complete Octet upload.
• As required and backup for Assistant Accountant
• Assist Assistant Accountant with preparation of OS spreadsheet for payment to suppliers.
• Assist with reporting and other adhoc request as required by Accountant or Director.
• Back up on overflow call to customer service and Accounts department

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must have proven and previous experience (2+ years) as a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer maintaining a large ledger
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to thrive in a high volume and fast paced environment
• Success in reducing outstanding debts
• Intermediate/Advanced EXCEL skills
• Ability multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Problem Solving Skills
• Ability to work independently
• High attention to detail, excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to customers
• Previous Retail Sector experience desirable but not essential
