We are seeking an experienced Back-end Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Back-end developer within our team, you will be an integral part of our development team, responsible for crafting high-quality and efficient PHP code to power our web applications. You will work closely with designers, frontend developers, and delivery managers/coordinators to deliver exceptional digital experiences to our clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and maintain server-side PHP code to support Adobe Commerce applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
• Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Implement robust and secure APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between the server and the client-side
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and design to testing and deployment
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability and ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
• Troubleshoot and debug complex PHP applications to resolve performance and functional issues, working closely with our QA team to ensure a bug-free final product
• Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and enhance team collaboration
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects on time and within scope
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Proven experience as an Adobe Commerce/Magento PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your eCommerce projects
• Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laminas (Zend), Symfony, or Laravel
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns
• Experience with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and the ability to integrate them with PHP applications
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, to manage code repositories effectively
• Knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases, and the ability to write optimized SQL queries
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to tackle complex development challenges
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus

NICE TO HAVE

• Magento BE Certification(s) is a plus
