Data Analyst (AUS)
We’re looking for a curious and commercially minded Data Analyst. In this role you’ll be responsible for turning data into insight — analyzing performance across our digital platforms, commercial operations, sales, and marketing, and communicating findings that drive real business decisions.
You’ll be the go–to person for internal reporting and analysis, owning our Power BI environment while also digging deeper into the data to surface trends, answer business questions, and identify opportunities. You’ll work closely with the Head of Digital, Head of Technology, and senior stakeholders across digital, sales, and finance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis & Insight
- Analyze data across RMG’s digital platforms, sales pipeline, marketing performance, and financial operations to surface actionable insights
- Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from senior stakeholders, turning around clear, well–reasoned findings in a timely manner
- Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in the data — don’t just answer the question asked, ask the next one
- Develop a deep understanding of RMG’s business model, revenue drivers, and KPIs to contextualize analysis effectively
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Own the design, build, and ongoing maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the business
- Translate business requirements into scalable, performant data models and clear visualizations
- Establish consistent reporting standards, templates, and design patterns across the organization
- Build self-serve reporting capability that enables teams to explore data independently
Data Management & Integration
- Connect and transform data from multiple sources including CRM, ad platforms, web analytics, finance systems, and product databases
- Develop and manage data models using DAX and Power Query (M), ensuring accuracy and performance
- Build and maintain data warehouse solutions using Snowflake, including modelling, transformation, and optimization
- Create semantic models in Power BI and configure Copilot to enable AI–assisted reporting and natural language querying across the business
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure clean, reliable data pipelines feed into reporting infrastructure
- Identify and resolve data quality issues in partnership with relevant data owners
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of Digital and Head of Technology, as well as senior stakeholders across digital, sales, and finance to define and prioritize reporting and analysis requirements
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely — tailoring the level of detail to the audience, from operational teams to executive leadership
- Facilitate requirements workshops and translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical briefs
- Produce documentation and user guides to support adoption of new reports and data tools Governance & Best Practice
- Implement and maintain row-level security and access controls across Power BI workspaces
- Contribute to the development of a data governance framework including naming conventions, version control, and change management
- Stay current with Power BI platform updates, analytics tooling, and industry best practice
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence role in a commercial environment
- Strong analytical thinking — able to frame a business problem, structure an approach, and communicate findings clearly
- Proficient in Power BI for dashboard development, with solid DAX and Power Query (M) skills
- Comfortable writing SQL to extract and manipulate data from relational databases
- Experience connecting to a variety of data sources (SQL databases, APIs, Excel, Google Analytics, Meta Ads, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts — star schema, relationships, cardinality
DESIRABLE
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Data Cloud
- Familiarity with digital marketing metrics and ad platform reporting (Meta, Google, DV360)
- Exposure to CRM data (Salesforce or similar) and sales pipeline reporting
- Microsoft Power BI certification (PL–300 or similar)
