We are looking for an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) who can contribute beyond traditional testing responsibilities.

This role combines software engineering, test automation, troubleshooting, and product quality ownership. You will work closely with the Tech Lead, Product Owner, and engineers to improve release confidence, developer productivity, and overall product quality.

A key part of this role is the ability to deeply understand product requirements and quickly diagnose issues across systems. We are looking for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, engineering-driven, and proactive in identifying risks before they become production problems.

This is an engineering-focused role with strong collaboration across backend, frontend, and product workflows.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Work closely with the Tech Lead and Product Owner to deeply understand product requirements, business logic, user flows, and edge cases before implementation and release
• Proactively identify ambiguities, risks, missing scenarios, and potential quality gaps during requirement discussions
• Participate in feature development and engineering improvement initiatives when needed
• Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and quality tooling
• Develop automated tests for APIs, integration flows, end-to-end scenarios, and regression pipelines
• Collaborate with engineers to improve system testability, observability, and release reliability
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify root causes of issues as quickly and accurately as possible across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and integration layers
• Investigate flaky tests, production incidents, and recurring quality problems
• Help define quality standards, testing strategies, and engineering best practices
• Contribute to improving engineering velocity, release confidence, and overall developer experience

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong software engineering skills in at least one language: Golang, TypeScript/Javascript, or Python
• Experience building automation frameworks or testing platforms
• Experience with API testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and regression automation
• Familiarity with ReactJS and TypeScript/Javascript
• Experience with CI/CD systems and automation pipelines
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and diagnose issues efficiently
• Ability to work independently and proactively in fast-moving environments
• Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to think from both engineering and product perspectives
• Fluent English communication skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or observability/monitoring tooling
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience with performance/load testing
• Experience contributing directly to product features
• Experience improving developer workflows and engineering productivity
• Experience in startup or product engineering environments
